The University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC) was founded in 1989. In just a few years, it established itself as one of the leading Spanish universities, standing out in research related to tourism, oceanography, veterinary science, and public health. We have six campuses: three located in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, one in the municipality of Arucas (Gran Canaria), and two others on the islands of Lanzarote and Fuerteventura.
Our institution has more than 1,600 professors who carry out significant research activity, organized into over one hundred research groups and eleven research institutes with national and international recognition.
ULPGC is committed to the development of science and technology parks (STPs), which boost the transfer of R&D&I results to the surrounding society and support the creation of technology-based companies.
