Kraków Gathering Lays Groundwork for European Biotech Innovation

The Biotech Venture Pathway project marked a significant step in its journey last month, participating in the prestigious IVAP Workshop 2025. Held in Kraków, Poland from November 24th to 26th, the event served as a crucial launchpad and networking hub for projects under the European Institute of Innovation and Technology’s (EIT) Higher Education Initiative.

Representatives from Biotech Venture Pathway’s partners, Víctor R. Martínez from Consulta Europa and Rodrigo Tudela Martins Duarte from SILO Company, were among the nearly 300 participants. The workshop was a dynamic mix of 65 current and concluding projects, EIT management, KIC representatives, and external stakeholders.

Crucially, the team successfully engaged with peers from Cohort 4, fostering connections with similarly funded initiatives like HEALTHENPENEURS, DigiCare Innovation, and Talent-CGT.

The workshop’s dual objective—to welcome the new cohort and facilitate collaboration across all projects—was achieved through a packed schedule. Key features included interactive breakout sessions on vital themes such as DeepTech Entrepreneurship and Innovation and Business Creation, alongside a dynamic poster presentation session.

The event, which concluded with a special emphasis on bridging connections between the projects, EIT’s Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs), and the wider Initiative, is designed to provide a strong reference point for Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) aiming to promote innovation and drive institutional change across Europe. The insights gained are set to guide the implementation of the project’s ambitious goals moving forward.
